Hua Shan Elementary School English Club Flat Stanley

At Hua Shan Elementary School English Club (Kaohsiung, Taiwan), we are participating in the Flat Stanley Project. There are fourteen students in English Club and we have created a class Flat Stanley that includes profile pictures the children have drawn of themselves. The class Flat Stanley (see picture above) will travel from the East coast to the West coast of the United States of America. The select states that the Flat Stanley will travel to are: Washington, D.C., Boston, New York, Iowa, Wisconsin, Colorado, Idaho, and California. Friends in those states will take the Flat Stanley to famous locations and take pictures with it, so it's as if the class was there at those famous locations with my friends.

I will post the journey of the Flat Stanley on this page in my website. Thank you friends for helping our Hua Shan Elementary School students learn more and see more of the United States of America!

Destination 1: Washington, D.C.

The first destination the Flat Stanley went to was Washington, D.C. My friend Elizabeth S. helped us take these pictures. Aren't they beautiful? She took the flat stanley to the Capitol, the Library of Congress, the Supreme Court, and the White House! Thank you, Liz!

Thank you everyone who participated in this Flat Stanley exchange. Our English Club really learned a lot about your destination and enjoyed seeing the pictures.  It took a year for the Flat Stanley to return, but the kids were very excited wen it came back and looked at it for a very long time. Thanks again for making a difference in a child's life!
